Ubisoft today announced the release of the "Escalation Pack” downloadable content for Tom Clancy's EndWar available on the Xbox Live Marketplace December 11, 2008. The DLC will be available for 800 Microsoft points.
The "Escalation Pack” DLC will include four new exclusive missions on all new battlefields playable in skirmish mode, three exclusive unit upgrades and an extra set of achievements to expand your experience with Tom Clancy's EndWar. The new missions include the Siege of the Kursk Firebase (Ukraine), the Assault on Devon beach (England), the Raid on Rota naval base (Spain) and the Conquest of Dorsey Knob (USA, West Virginia).
These new challenges will also be available with more fighting power; as the "Escalation Pack” will also introduce three new unit upgrades and 10 new achievements to unlock.
December 11th will also mark the day where EndWar brings you a completely free title update that will bring the stakes of the war to a whole new level by including the much sought after four vs. four mode. This content patch will be available on the Xbox 360 on December 11th.

Despite the admittedly short game there are a ton of us out there that just cant wait to get our hands on sonics high speed antics and now Xbox Live has handed us a snack to keep us going till we can get the full cut of this game, get to downloading folks since this is sure to be a good one.

Microsoft Game Studios announced today that Ensemble Studios' action-based strategy game set in the Halo universe, Halo Wars, will be available in U.S. stores on March 3. Pre-orders for “Halo Wars” are taking place at participating retailers nationwide now. Fans who pre-order will receive an exclusive in-game Warthog with flame decals.
The game will also ship on March 3, 2009 in Canada, Mexico and South America. A few days earlier, on February 27, 2009, the game will be released in Europe and the Middle East, while Japan and other countries in Europe will get the game on February 26, 2009.
Microsoft also confirmed that there will be a Limited Collector’s Edition of Halo Wars that includes a special in-game “Honor Guard” Wraith, a graphic novel, six Leader cards and a “Spirit of Fire” patch. As an additional exclusive, limited edition owners will get early access to the in-game “Halo 3” Mythic Map Pack.
The Limited Collector’s Edition retails for an estimated retail price of $79.99, while the standard edition is available at $59.99. A first for a “Halo” franchise game, “Halo Wars” is rated “T” for Teen.

Who would have seen it coming. Halo 3 is the most played game on XBL for the week of November 24th.
This could be due to a number of reasons. Broken Matchmaking for Gears 2, COD players are now split between two games or the drop in price of the Legendary Map pack for Halo 3.
Whatever the reason Master Chief has taken back the top spot.

You might have noticed that Xbox Live has been kicking out from time to time over the last few days and if your like me you set there changing settings on your router and rebooting the hell out of your modem thinking i surly cant be Xbox Lives fault, but it was and heres the real bad news.
Major Nelson reports: On Monday,11/17/2008 from 2:00 AM PST for up to 45–minutes, Xbox Live will be offline for maintenance. As a result, Xbox LIVE and the ‘My Xbox’ section of Xbox.com will be unavailable, and the Xbox forums will be in read only mode (you won’t be able to post.) The remainder of Xbox.com will be available with limited interruptions.
This service maintenance is in preparation for the new Xbox experience which will be available this Wednesday.
So there you have it, just try to hang in there and keep in mind the loss of Live is not the end of the world it just feels like it.

You know who you are and you know what you did so when you pop in your copy of a game thats not out and wont be for weeks you cant act shocked when your live account gets banned, any one of you out there that has got a new game and said to yourself "good GOD why are games so much?" you can thank the ones who are to good to pay the price.
Major Nelson reports: I’ve gotten a few messages and seen some forum threads pop up on console bannings so I thought I’d post and let folks know what’s up.
In our our continued effort to keep gameplay safe and secure for our community of more than 14 million members, Microsoft has taken action against a small percentage of Xbox 360 consoles that have been illegally modified in order to play pirated games.
You should know that modifying your Xbox 360 console is also a violation of the Xbox LIVE terms of use, will void your warranty and result in a ban from Xbox LIVE. The health of the video game business depends on customers paying for the genuine products and services they receive, both from manufacturers and the local companies that support them. We will continue to employ and bolster anti-piracy security measures to counter piracy in the gaming industry and improve security in the Xbox LIVE community.

The Major has dropped the news and my own two eyes can confirm it Mirror's Edge is now ready to download and play and given all the hype surrounding this game it just might be worth a try, i for one want to rush though the news this morning and get to downloading ASAP.

I know you have seen the ad's and i know you have heard the hype but trust me when i say it did not do the game justice at all and you need to play it to find out just how good this game is, just think of it as a military version of Grand Theft Auto and i know you like some GTA.
