At least you know what you're getting if you get the car from your uncle. If you buy one that's ready to go you never know what you're in for! I think you should spring the money and fix that beast of a car buddy. Interior work isn't cheap though but it would be worth it if you could find someone to do it. Just my opinion though. _________________________________________________________
Well I'm going over to his place tomorrow to check it out. I plan on just grabbing it since it's free, unless it's totally destroyed. Then I can go from there. _________________________________________________________

Back it the day my father and his brothers used to build hot rods then drive them to Tijuana to get the interior completely redone cheap. If you are close to the boarder you could try that.
I got the OK from my mom now, so I'm going for it for sure. I'll be sure to take some before and after pictures so I can post it on here once it's done. _________________________________________________________

yeah man congrats, it will defo be a great experience for you and your dad, im sure your dad will enjoy working on it with you as much as you will and the family connections with the car make it even more valuable. yeah will definately be worth it in the long run experience memories learning excellent!
Went out to look at it today. It's really messed up. He doesn't live at the house its at anymore so he hasn't seen it for a while.
The inside is destroyed. I would need new seats, new dash panel, new carpet, new speakers. The outside has cracks and holes and dents. It needs new tires and wheels too.
The overall body still looks great, it just needs a lot of work and money. I'm most likely going to have to pass it up sadly, but I would sure love to fix it up someday. Maybe I'll see if I can't get it from in and put it up at my grandparents house until I'm 25 or so and see if I don't have the money to fix it up then.
For now it looks like I'm going to try to find one on cragslist for cheap that is in better shape that I can build up. Were looking at this one now:1983 Z28 _________________________________________________________
