I would like to upgrade my stock 20 gig HDD to a 120 gig HDD without buying mircosofts rip off drive. I read here that you can only use a certian brand of drive:http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=7024. First off, if I use the firmware from my 20 gig drive will I be able to use all 120 gigs or just 20 gigs? Also, if I do the HDD upgrade will I get banned from live or is it ok? I'd much rather buy a $70 drive over a $179 drive. _________________

You can upgrade it,
however the key from your 20 gig drive will always say its a 20 gig so your 360 would only recognize 20 gigs of the 120. I wonder if anyone on here has a key for a 120 gig drive that has never been online. _________________
