When my mum woke me up this morning (yes im 26 and staying at my mums but im recovering from illness so this is allowed and i do have my own place) telling me "your games here". So i jumped out of bed ripped open the package and lo and behold mw2!
I jumped into the story mode which is 1 player. The intro played and then the game started. And i was pleased. Infinity Wards has really pushed the bar up with this game, the graphics are amazing, the blood splatter on screen when your taking damage is beautiful, and it wont be the only thing covering your screen, dust and sand and snow end up showing on the hud as well. The variety in weapons is so awesome and the different scopes/holosights are well good. for once (this generation and rpgs asides) i can say i played the game most the day (on veteran) and i havent completed it yet and im really enjoying every moment. Im actually stuck on this timed mission which ive replayed about 20-30 times and just cant do....but i dont care the graphics are so slick the gameplay is tight and if im stuck on this level for a week i dont care!
The Spec ops was slightly dissapointing as its on 2player co op and i was hoping for a larger co op experience as i have quite a few friends and doing is going to feel a bit rude to some people i play with, but i can see this adding massive extendability to the game!
A lot of the time when ive played mp games online sometimes the graphics look different (graw) or shoddy, and some times the maps seem a bit weak but the graphics in the mp are so crystal and clear and the characters look solid and brilliant!and so far im addicted. Having never really got into the first mw online im defo gonna give this a hard going at, to try and get those class perks and weapon upgrades!
Overall was it worth the hype was it worth the wait? was it worth pre-ordering? is this game going to game of year?
To all of those i say yes. I wasnt even that hyped about this game til it dropped and i was hoping it was going to good, but i think its far surpassed my expectations.
when i started the story mode i was like omg wow look at that! and all my friends have had a similar response!
So yeah, possibly one of the defining games of this generation, i dont know any game which can compete with this one. Itz too good!

I think its good also. The snow level i like, you can't see 30 feet in front of you but you have a radar that monitors heartbeats to let you know where people are. The showmobile part is a little crap, but you get to do a massive jump off a ramp, which is fun.
The airport level is good (these 2 levels happen early in the game), its fun mowing down innocent civilians, i'm sure you will agree bomernee. Thats as far as i am with it. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

Got MW2 this afternoon. I didnt go to the midnight launch and I had to work all day today.
Gave GAME a call at 5.20 and asked what time they closed. The manager knows me pretty well and told me hurry up he would wait for me (sweet)
Got home and dropped it in. First off MP.
OMG.
I wasnt crap at COD4 but I felt the controls didnt feel right for me. But the controls for MW2 fit my play style to a tee. It feels so tight and right for me it cant describe it.
Ended up getting 20:5 which is rare for me. Not bad seeing though I have never played before.
Then had a quick game with Druids in a party. Schweeeeeet.
Anyways, this game is the best game I have played so for this generation.
I just want to keep playing and playing it.
I think that what COD4 did for MP has been smashed by MW2. This has set the standard for online MP FPS, and it has set the bar very, very high.

Looks like I'll have to go to gamestop tonight after school and see if they have any copies in. I wasn't really planning on picking it up for a while, but I think I'll get it now so that I'll have it while everyone is still playing it. _________________________________________________________

Darth, people will be playing this game for years just like COD 4 and Counter Strike, so i don't think there is any rush to get it. But you will be happy you did. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.
